After months of planning and days of meticulous packing, Heather was ready to go.
Tony just had to put his toiletries aboard and everything was ready!
All that was needed was for the weather to be kind.
On Saturday 16th July they set off from Hythe, first stop the distant foreign port of . . . . Lymington.

The Big Plan
The plan is that there is no plan.
Or at least not a schedule, merely to arrive in La Rochelle at the end of summer before transporting Rêves dé Mé by road to a suitable marina in the southwest corner of France and then a gentle cruise down the Spanish coast to a winter berth in Sant Carles de la Ràpita.

A Stop-Over in Jersey
But first a few days in Jersey, to make further arrangements for our wedding there in September. Whilst we hope for a warm sunny day for the big event, hopefully it won’t get to the 35.2 degrees we experienced whilst at Elizabeth Castle on 19th July.

Onwards to France & Spain
We aim to make this a relaxing journey, taking in as many of the free berths available to us as possible along the way, thanks to our membership of Passeport Escalle, through MDL Freedom Berthing.
