Jersey made an ideal first stop on our adventure.  Not only is it a beautiful island but it makes a  convenient break after 5 hours motoring from Lymington and has cheap diesel!

We also still have several things to sort out for our wedding.  We made the initial arrangements a few weeks ago but will take the opportunity whilst here to check the venues, order flowers, find a photographer and a hairdresser.

We took the ferry across to Elizabeth Castle, the venue for our wedding ceremony, accompanied by Julie from Jersey Heritage, our wedding coordinator.  It was soon obvious that we had a problem.  Steps.  Far too many of them for some of our guests to manage.
